Philanthropic support from generous individuals or trusts and foundations is a sustainable and one of the most powerful tools in making a lasting impact in the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable children and their families in Haiti.

We work at a grassroots level to remove barriers to education through a wide range of projects. This includes livelihood support, school supplies, school building, teacher training and providing education for children in emergencies.

Educational Facts about Haiti

The enrollment rate for primary school in Haiti is 57%, and fewer than 30% of the students reach 6th grade.

Secondary schools enroll 20% of eligible-age children.

Haiti’s literacy rate is 52.9%.

Haiti ranks 177th out of 186 in the world for national spending on education.

The Government has advocated the creation of a free public and universal education system for all primary school-age students in Haiti, but there is no government funding program available now or appropriated in the near future to provide for free public education for all children in Haiti.

International private schools are primarily operated and funded by American and Canadian missions and churches and they educate 90% of the students.

Run a Marathon: Utilize your running events to raise funding for School Kit Project. Let people know you’re running for the cause and ask them to sponsor your efforts.

Host a Non-Event Fundraiser: This creative concept is appreciated by would-be guests and event-planners alike. Instead of hosting an expensive fundraiser, ask your guest list to stay home the night of the “non-event” and donate the ticket price.
